$3,000,000 to $5,000,000. It sold for only $2,415,500!

season, Christie's decided to discombobulate the auction calendar by
putting a work attributed to Leonardo da Vinci into its major Post-War
and Contemporary Art auction and now Sotheby's has followed that
controversial lead by putting a major American painting into its Modern
& Impressionist Art evening auction with Lot 26, a very good pastel
on paperboard abstraction by Georgia O'Keeffe into its Impressionist
auction. The work measures 26 1/2 by 19 3/8 inches and was
painted in 1925. It has an estimate of $2,500,000 to
$3,500,000. It sold for
$4,405,300.
