30 percent from the $202.6 million achieved at the equivalent sale last
year." The article also
noted that the other half of the auction's waterlily painting by Monet
is at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

"Madame de Galea a la meridienne." It measures 45 by 63 7/8
inches and was painted in 1912. The woman in the painting was,
according to the catalogue entry, "the long-time paramour of the
now-legendary modern pictures dealer Ambrose Vollard." The entry
notes that the painting took more than 50 sittings.
